 With one of our founders, having started out site based having a requirement for aggregates, other building materials and waste management services all over the country to service his projects, he found it difficult and painstaking having to call a different organisation every time a new project started in a different location. Over the years he built up a spreadsheet of contacts for each Geographical location and kept notes on all services or service issues and product qualities, working on projects in the South-West all the way up to Edinburgh in Scotland, this is now quite a network of suppliers list, which after further assessment and vetting, some of which make up our supplier network to this day. Having continued to work on construction sites nationwide and expressed this to other contractors that work nationwide, he found that almost everyone shared the same issue, themselves our their buying team would like to centralise to one organisation for certain services or sets of products they specialise in, with someone who is going to know who is best for said area, best value for money, product quality and delivery service to site, and having already carried out the service and other necessary checks on said supplier that would be required. With this in mind, he came up with the idea to try and ease the stress for other companies, being his requirements always being aggregates and waste management services, he thought this would be the service he would specialise on, this was when he mentioned the idea to our other founder who has specialised previously in Waste Management Service, carried out waste management contracts for councils and local authorities, our other founder thought this to be a great idea, having worked closely with organisations that would share the same requirements also, he would have a network of people that he feels that this would be beneficial to, this has proven so far as we have been able to service some specialist requirements for organisations that have benefited from our services and products, subsequently they formed GB aggregates and started the initial procedures to assess all suppliers and build the network to something that will be able to offer high quality service along with good value for money allowing projects to be complete on target, with the pairs combined knowledge GB aggregates put it’s services to use to what we have obtained so far.
